 SBM Atlantia is currently recruiting for a Marine Equipment Engineer. The Marine Equipment Engineer is responsible for the design of marine equipment packages for offshore hull marine systems for FPSOs, FSOs, Semi-submersibles, or TLPs. The engineer will prepare equipment technical specifications and data sheets; prepare equipment RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations; make equipment vendor recommendations; review vendor design documents; coordinate with vendors during design and fabrication process; and participate in equipment acceptance tests.

 
The Marine Equipment Engineer should have knowledge of design and fabrication for offshore hull marine equipment including; diesel gensets, marine pumps, air compressors, HVAC, etc. In addition, the engineer will need familiarity with international codes and standards for offshore hull marine equipment (ABS, IMO, SOLAS, etc.), and be able to work in a multi-discipline environment as part of a project task force.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree. In addition, candidates should have 5 years of offshore (upstream) oil & gas industry experience.
 
Candidates should be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
 
This position may require some overseas travel or offshore assignments.

 SBM Atlantia is currently recruiting for a Marine and Drilling System Engineer. The Marine and Drilling System Engineerwill perform FEED studies and detailed engineering in support of drilling clients. The Marine and Drilling System Engineer will play a lead role in working with clients on upgrades to rigs and add-ons.

 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Ocean, or Marine) with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree.
 
Candidates should also have 7 years of related offshore experience, including experience with both FEED and detailed engineering for offshore drilling rigs and / or vessels and floating offshore facilities.
 
Experience with Flow Master and Mathcad preferred.
 
This position requires periodic domestic or international travel for customer and vendor contacts or for site support.

SBM Atlantia is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be leading a team on a project basis, and be responsible for the design and specification of both static and rotating equipment packages for offshore oil and gas facilities. The main job functions of this position are to:

 
  • Supervise the mechanical equipment team on the project
  • Interface with project management team and other disciplines on the project
  • Prepare equipment technical specifications and data sheets
  • Prepare equipment RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations, as well as make vendor recommendations
  • Review vendor design documents and coordinate with vendors during equipment design and fabrication process
  • Participate in equipment acceptance tests and work / assist through installation, commissioning and operation of the equipments 
 
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will work in a multi-discipline environment as part of a project task force, and must be familiar with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ABS, etc.) for the design and fabrication of process and utility equipments including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and engineered packages.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree. In addition, candidates should have 7 years of offshore oil & gas industry experience.
 
Candidates should be experienced with Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of pressure vessel design software is a plus.
 
This position may require some overseas travel or offshore assignments.
